My story began with an exodus. It was my father, a man named Paul, who felt called to lead his young family out of Egypt and into the wilderness—to raise his children set apart, with only the assurances of faith and hard work.

I was born in 1979 in Barryville, New York, on the Upper Delaware River. There is a now famous camping area there called "Luke’s Landing" — named after me by the owners of Kittatinny Canoes.   My father Paul served as general manager for seven years. When I was born during his final year there, they honored him by naming the new riverside camping area after his son.

Shortly afterward, my father made a decision that would shape everything I am. He had grown deeply tired of the larger American culture he felt was drifting away from God — shallow, money-driven, disconnected from real values. The corporate world disappointed him. The religious establishment disappointed him. The politics of the era felt hollow and dishonest to him.

My father and mother did something radical. They walked away from the current of upward social mobility; and barely mortgaged a run-down 20-acre farm in upstate New York.   They began to build a life from the ground up. They raised their own livestock, grew gardens, and ran a small bed and breakfast called All Breeze Guest Farm. They raised my brother and I there; set apart from the religious and political establishment, close to the land and to God.  It was a hard but honest life.

The Tentmaker Spirit & Discipleship

My father was a woodcutter by hand. From the time I was a small boy, I watched him haul logs out of the woods in over a foot of upstate New York snow, load heavy frozen stumps into the back of a little dump truck by hand, and drive them back to the farm to hand split and sell as firewood.

Some nights after dinner, knowing he had to make ends meet for his family, he would bundle up warm, walk outside into the cold dark, and flip on a large light mounted on a post out in the field. And then he would chop wood. Alone. In the silence of a New York winter night.

I would lie in bed as a young boy, sometimes as late as nine or ten o’clock at night, and I could hear it through the old farmhouse window — the distant sound of cold, hard steel slamming against the top of frozen rounds of wood. He told me once that wood splits cleaner in freezing temperatures because the moisture inside the wood is frozen solid. The cold made the work easier. I have never forgotten that.

Something was forged in me on that farm, listening to that sound in the dark. A self-determination. A quiet, unshakeable fighting spirit. An understanding that faithfulness is not loud or glamorous — it is a man alone under a field light, doing what needs to be done, long after everyone else has gone to sleep.

That "Tentmaker Spirit" has never left me. Today, as God raises up Jesus Reigns USA®, that same spirit is being passed on to the men in my workshop. It is no longer just one man under a field light; it is a brotherhood of disciples learning that work is worship and that every staff we craft is an expression of our ministry.

Our Greater Mission

The influence of Jesus Reigns USA® is growing far beyond our workshop; we are called to help carry love and light into the dark and broken places.

9 Years ago, I met Pastor George John. At the time, his orphanage in Pakistan was literally being built up from the dirt. The children sat on the floor to eat and sleep in a building that looked like ruins. Despite their struggle, Pastor George constantly reminded me that he and the children were praying for my family and this business every single day.
I sought God’s counsel with many reservations.

One night, I awoke to the tangible anointing of the Holy Spirit resting on my bed like a blanket. Still half-asleep, I reached for my phone. It opened directly to a photo of all those children standing and praying. The presence of God filled the room, and I wept under the power of it. I had my answer. I was being called to get involved.

Today, a portion of our sales goes directly to this outreach. We don’t just support them financially; we use our platform to raise awareness for the Gospel in the underdeveloped areas of Punjab. As Pastor George says, we are reaching those who have never heard the Word of God.  When you carry a Jesus Reigns USA® staff, you are a fellow worker in this mission. You are helping us bring the Gospel to the people who need it most.

  • If your faith was forged through seasons that nearly broke you—and you are old enough to know the difference between real and hollow—you will feel it when you hold one of these sticks.

These are not mass-produced in a factory overseas. They are prayerfully handcrafted here in America. A redeemed legacy of faith and perseverance is translated into every staff we create—and into every life that enters our sphere of influence.

The Perfect gifts for quiet walks with God.

Welcome to Jesus Reigns USA®. We are glad you found your way here.
